FM Bid Manager

Our Client

Our Client is a highly respected international TFM service provider seeking an experienced bid manager to join their team. They have a strong portfolio of contracts across a number of market sectors and are looking to appoint a Bid Manager to work within a dedicated bidding team with responsibility for larger value, complex multi-site bids. Ideally, you will have worked in a fast paced bidding environment with a leading TFM/Hard Services contractor, have an understanding of operational delivery, commercial management and risk mitigation.

Role Details

  • Pursue opportunities and to lead the management and preparation of the company’s response to them
  • Receive bid documents and then plan, prepare and manage the Company response to them, ensuring that risks are properly identified and mitigated
  • Prepare and present bid strategy and pricing to the business development director for approval prior to submission
  • Mobilise and manage internal and external resources within agreed budgets
  • Assist the Technical Team in pre-qualifications and other formal submissions prior to short-listing
  • Identify key targets, opportunities and develop a commercial and technical solution that will enable the company to secure profitable contracts
  • Assist the Business Development Director as required with the preparation and submission of internal reports
  • Maintain a good working knowledge of developments in the Maintenance industry including changes in legislation

Requirements

  • You must have sales/business development/bid management experience and be from a relevant hard services background
  • Able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, providing support to other areas of the business on occasions, as required
  • Must demonstrate a strong sense of customer focus and promote a sense of team spirit within the office
  • Confidential approach and discrete
  • Must be able to influence others, and engender confidence in senior managers through both face-to-face, telephone and written communication
  • Self-motivated
  • Able to prioritise demands and make decisions under pressure
  • Be self-sufficient: able to work on your own as well as in a team
